OH&S INSPECTIONS

RBS OH&S inspections provide a service dealing with evaluating, creating and implementing a safe working environment for builders/developers of Domestic and Commercial construction industry.

These inspections provide a detailed report informing builders of any and all hazards and risks with control measures for each violation of the OH&S act.

This service include:

• Workplace hazard identification and control measures to provide a Safe Working Environment
• Ensure construction site complies with OH&S legislation, Australian Standards, Codes of Practice and Industry Regulations
• Accidental identification and assessment

These inspections are to be completed on a regular basis to ensure a Safe Working Environment and ensure Safe Working Practices are achieved on specific works by issue of Work Method Statements.

RBS consultants/advisors can be employed for a contract period of time until the structural stages have been completed or regular OH&S inspections to maintain SWE with work method statements provided on specific works with supervision if necessary.

OH&S SAFETY PLAN & MANAGEMENT POLICY

A detailed OH&S plan and Management policy has been prepared to ensure builders/developers of Domestic and Commercial Construction company abide by OH&S legislation, Australian Standards, Codes of Practice and Regulations.

WORKSAFE/ UNION RECTIFICATION AND ISSUES

Worksafe field officers are able to enter construction sites at all times to enforce OH&S Legislation within the building and construction industry.

These Field Officers enforce OH&S legislation to ensure a Safe Working Environment and Practices are implemented. If your construction site doesn’t comply and is deemed unsafe, the field officer will close the site down and issue Prohibition Notice for each infringement.

Work must NOT restart until the construction site has had the Prohibition notices lifted by the worksafe officer.

Thats where this service can assist builders and developers.

After worksafe has issued your construction site with prohibition notice, RBS consultants supervise your trades to rectify the notices and ensure a Safe Working Environment has been established for worksafe officers to lift the notices so that the construction site can resume work. RBS consultants would then stay on and maintain a safe environment until it is no further required and major hazards have been completed.

Unions are there to ensure that there members are working in a safe working environment and they have certain rights to ensure there members are safe. But don’t be bullied or intimidated by the union representatives. RBS consultants if employed for OH&S compliance for your development then we become the go between and deal with your development site and the members of the unions.

WORK METHOD STATEMENTS/JSA

Roystar building services provide detailed work method statements as well as job safety analysis for individual tradesmen, companies and specific jobs of high risk.

We are also able to customise work method statements for job specific tasks for the need of all trades as well as builders of both residential and commercial developments.

TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT/CONTROLLER

This service carried out by RBS, provides a traffic plan to obtain permits and ensure correct control measures and safe work practices are in place for the tradesman working outside the boundary of the construction site. And traffic controller will be there to ensure safe work procedures and control traffic so trades are not injured and that the public are also not injured during the works taking place.

ELECTRICAL TEST AND TAG

RBS have qualified advisors whom are able to test and tag of all electrical leads, power tools and appliances used on site.

These items are to be done every 3 months as it is a part of OH&S act and codes of practice.

Our rates are not as expensive as other people that also test and tag as we encourage it to be done to keep the development and trades safe from electrocution.
